It has been a season of change at BPE Law Group. Over the last couple months we have had the pleasure of welcoming new team members to assist BPE Law’s clients on a myriad of issues. We, like many businesses have also had a departure. Today we introduce and welcome the new teams and say goodbye to friends that have moved on.
In May of this year, Terri L. Popkes, joined BPE Law’s Probate and Estate Planning Group. Terri brings a wealth of litigation experience with 20 years of courtroom experience under her belt. BPE is excited to have Terri on the team and the clients that have had the good fortune of working with Terri know that she has a way cutting straight to the core issues and help obtain positive results for the clients she assists.
Terri will be providing litigation representation in contested estate matters including contested probates, conservatorships and elder abuse actions. Terri is native of Sacramento with deep ties to the community and graduate of McGeorge School of Law. We look forward to contributions she will make in furthering our client’s matters.
Additionally, in May of this year, Kristin E. Goulet, joined BPE Law’s litigation practice. Kristin received her Bachelors of Arts in Literature and Creative Writing from Cal. State Long Beach. After completing her undergraduate studies, Kristin was accepted and received her law degree from Notre Dame Law School.
Upon completing her legal studies, Kristin began her legal career at Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson & Haluck, a well-known insurance defense firm. While there, Kristin honed her legal skills representing contractors in construction defect cases and insured individuals in general liability
matters.
In addition to continuing with her litigation practice, Kristin will also be providing support in the transactional department. We look forward to the contributions that Kristin will make in assisting BPE’s clients in the future.
Finally, we say good-bye to longtime transactional attorney Matthew Kirkpatrick. For those of you that had the chance to work with Matt, you know that his key to success was to pay attention to the details and his ability to discuss complex legal matters without the use of legalese. Matt and I worked closely for over 7 years assisting clients in a myriad of transactions ranging from real estate transactions, to large scale commercial financing, to mergers and acquisitions. It has been truly my pleasure to work with Matt these many years and we wish him the best of luck as he transitions to an in-house corporate position.
Our growing team looks forward to continuing to provide outstanding support to our customers.
