It's Independence Day - 2025
This week we celebrate the 249th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th 1776. The Declaration boldly proclaimed:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure the rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
The Declaration of Independence is one of the founding documents of our nation. During the last 249 years, it has served as a beacon to remind us of our highest ideals and as a guiding light for America. We look forward to the future with renewed dedication to the principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence, with gratitude to those who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to preserve our liberty.
