Honoring the Accomplishments of BPE Professionals 2023

Today’s blog is a little different than normal. We want to take to time acknowledge the professional accomplishments of some of our attorneys and say congratulations to the recipients. We are truly humbled and grateful for the support our clients, peers, and community have shown us over the years and continue to show.
Sr. Associate Attorney, Carl H. Block, for the third year in a row was included in Super Lawyers Rising Star list for 2023 as a real estate attorney. A tremendous honor for Carl as the Super Lawyers list is limited to the top five percent of each state’s attorneys and inclusion on the rising star list is limited to 2.5% of the attorneys. For those of you that have had the benefit of working with Carl, understand his focused application of the law to facts guides his representative style. Additionally, Carl is admitted to the Nevada Bar and is assisting in the development and expansion of the firm in Nevada. We congratulate Carl on his inclusion in the 2023 Super Lawyers Rising Star list.
Sr. Associate Attorney, Laura E. Ferret, was included in Super Lawyers Rising Star list for 2023 for her efforts in Civil Litigation and Real Estate. Laura has been instrumental in assisting BPE clients in their litigation needs and she has obtained significant results for BPE clients in settlement and in the courtroom. A tremendous honor for Laura as the Super Lawyers list is limited to the top five percent of each state’s attorneys and inclusion on the rising star list is limited to 2.5% of the attorneys. For those of you that have had the benefit of working with Laura, understand the key to her success is unrelenting attention to detail and skilled persuasive writing to convey the necessary arguments for BPE’s clients. We congratulate Laura on this well-deserved honor.
Sr. Associate Attorney, Melanie De Marco, was included in Sacramento Magazine’s 2023 Top Lawyer list as a Business/Corporate attorney. Melanie has been a key contributor in helping to guide BPE clients in successfully closing numerous transactions ranging from a couple hundred thousand dollars to many millions of dollars. For those of you that have had the pleasure of working with Melanie, you know that the key to her success is being able to see the business path forward and her ability to find sensible compromises to assist parties in a business transaction. We Congratulate Melanie on her recognition as a Top Lawyer.
Environmental Attorney, Meghan Dunnagan, whom, I think is the finest attorney in California, was included for the second year in a row, in Sacramento Magazine’s 2023 Top Lawyer list as a Land Use/Zoning attorney. Meghan’s experience in land use over the last 19 years is nothing short of remarkable. She has been involved in some of the largest master planned residential development projects in the Sacramento region and the state of California. Her experience with wetlands and species has been utilized on some of the most complex mining and energy projects in the Central Valley and she is regularly engaged to aid and counsel on various cutting-edge projects throughout the state. BPE and our clients are extremely fortunate to have Meghan available to assist on their projects.
Finally, Transactional Attorney and Managing Shareholder, D. Keith Dunnagan, for the sixth year in a row was included in Super Lawyers list for 2023 as a Real Estate attorney and for the fifth time in six years was also included in Sacramento Magazine’s 2023 Top Lawyer list as a business and corporate attorney. Many of you know Keith from the blog articles he writes and the seminars he presents at various Realtor Associations and Healthcare/Dental events. For those of you that have worked with Keith, you know that the key to his success is the ability to see past hurdles in the transaction and find practical business solutions for his clients, whether it be a loan workout or an acquisition of a multi-million dollar business asset. We congratulate Keith on these selections. In addition to his work in California, Keith regularly assists clients outside of California as he is admitted to the Washington State and Nevada Bars as well.
